I made these for my D-Group a couple weeks ago and they were a hit. Seth even chose to use his diet splurge day to finish off half the pan. No joke! I chocolate chips instead of having to chop the baker’s chocolate.
I got this recipe from a Kraft Foods Magazine.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Bars
1 pkg Chocolate Cake Mix
1 pkg (3.9 oz) Chocolate Pudding Mix
1/2 C (1 stick) Butter, Melted
1/2 C Cold Milk
6 Squares Baker’s Semi-Sweet Chocolate, Chopped, Divided
1 C Dry Roasted Peanuts, Divided
1 C Creamy Peanut Butter
1. Heat oven to 350. Line 13X9 dish with foil and spray w/ cooking spray.
2. Mix 1st 4 ingredients until blended (mixture will be thick). Press half the cake mixture into pan. Bake 10 min.
3. Spread peanut butter over the crust. Sprinkle half each of the chocolate and nuts. Cover with remaining cake mix, and then remaining chocolate and nuts. Bake 15 min. Cool 1 hr. Refrigerate 4 hrs before cutting bars.
