Savory Pot Roast (slow cooker) March 23, 2011

I got this recipe from the FREE Circle of Friends Slow Cooker Cookbook (from Amazon).

It was really delicious and tender.  The most tender pot roast I’ve probably ever had and it was super easy.  I also threw in some cut up potatoes and baby carrots in the crockpot, too. I did use a little more water to better cook the veggies and it took about an hr less to cook it than the recipe called for.

Savory Pot Roast (slow cooker)

3.5 lb beef chuck roast

1 oz pkg ranch dressing mix (dry envelope mix)

1.35 oz pkg onion soup mix

.87 oz pkg brown gravy mix

1/2 C warm water

Place roast in slow cooker.  Mix dry ingredients together then sprinkle on roast.  Pour water around roast.  Cook on low settings for 6-7 hrs.
