Ok, so that’s not my description of this broccoli recipe, it’s what it’s actually called. At least from the blog I got it from. Well, actually, I found it on…yep, you guessed it…Pinterest.
I’m not a big fan of broccoli myself but it’s Seth’s favorite vegetable and Haddie used to eat it like candy, but recently she’d been pickier. So, I was dying to try a recipe that promised to be the best broccoli of my life! Really, if it can make broccoli taste like steak…bring it on! Especially since I’m back on the healthy bandwagon…I need all the help I can get with veggies!
While, I’m not ready to yet exclaim “it’s the best of my life!” I will admit it was pretty good, especially since it was healthy. No extra sugars, sauces or cheese! It actually didn’t taste very much like broccoli! So I guess that’s a huge plus in my book!
Seth said it was good. (He wasn’t super excited in how he said it, but he got seconds. And he’s been kinda picky too recently. Weird, I know.) And here’s the miracle: Haddie ate it all! Stems and all. Usually she’s been eating the leafy parts and leaving the rest, but this time she ate it all! She even wanted seconds…when she still had strawberries left! Crazy, huh? And later she asked for more for snack and was actually disappointed to find that Seth had finished it all up. She even gave him a hard time! So, yes, I will be making this again!!
