We tried this apple matzo kugel for our second Jewish food experiment for school.
Haddie enjoyed crushing the crackers (we just used regular thin crackers because we didnt have any matzah crackers left).
One of our youth group girls, Kaylan, was over for the weekend, so she helped peel the apples:
I left out the cranberries because I didn’t have them but I’m also not a big fan.
It turned out alright. Haddie only ate a teeny bit and didnt seem to like it much. Kaylan didn’t like the consistency. I’ll admit, the consistency did weird me out a bit. It was similar to a bread pudding, which I’m not a big fan of either. But I did like it better after it had cooled more. If I made it again, I would mix cinnamon into the whole kugel, not just sprinkle it on top.
