When I found this on Pinterest, I knew I had to make it for my high school dgroup. They love the regular puppy chow Chex and I figured this would be a good change of pace.
My first attempt at it was a disaster. I tried to use white chocolate chips because that’s all I had. I attempted to melt them in the microwave but the more I tried to melt and stir them, the bigger of a hard chunk I got. I even tried to put them in the oven with the Chex to see if it would thin out that way. Yep, just ended up with white chocolate chunks and toasted Chex. So, that week the kids just munched on the Chex disaster.
The next week I broke down and got the actual almond bark from Walmart. And this time it worked wonderfully. I just used regular white cake mix and it was delicious. I tried to add sprinkles after the fact to get the funfetti effect, but the wouldn’t stick. So if you add sprinkles, I recommend adding before the cake mix and powdered sugar.
